A gemstone is a precious stone, which is a mineral crystal. It can be cut and polished to make ornaments. These are valuable minerals because they exhibit characteristics which makes them distinct from other minerals like they exhibit clarity, rarity, their surface is lustrous and reflects more amount of light making them shine and enhances their beauty.
