This will interfere with the light stage of photosynthesis by affecting photolysis of water. If this occurs, carbondioxide won't be reduced to form sugar in the dark stage of photosynthesis since there won't be hydrogen provided by the co-enzyme NADP (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate).
