1. It is unfit for the purpose of consumption like freshwater obtain from rivers, lakes and ponds.

2. The water desalinating plant produces greenhouse gases which can contaminate or pollute the environment.

3. The process of desalination is costly, time and labor consuming.

4. The salt or brine obtain after this process when stored to any region can produce hazardous impact over the environment. This can kill vegetation and wildlife.
