You also learned that smoking tobacco, cannabis, or other substances can have a significant impact on not only the overall health of the lungs but also has negative effects on all body systems. Using this new information, and with independent research, you are now asked to develop a learning package for someone who has come to you for health teaching. Imagine that you are either a nurse in a clinic, a personal trainer, a physiotherapist, or any other health practitioner who has just done an initial consultation with a patient. Your patient has disclosed that they smoke tobacco and they have indicated that they believe that the information about lung disease and smoking is fabricated and that it must be exaggerated. You are now tasked with showing them through a diagram and a verbal demonstration the true scientific facts around smoking and lung disease. Make sure to discuss the symptoms, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in your demonstration.
