Benefits:
-stem cells are great in treating people with untreatable conditions.
-no risk of foreign cells being used and being rejected as the own patients cells will be used.
Risks:
-cultured stem cells could be carrying viruses which get passed on to the patient.
-some mutations of stem cells have been seen to behave like cancer cells so could cause cancer.
-there is no guarantee it’ll be successful.
