• Question: Will adding worms to the soil affect the growth of plants?
• Hypothesis: If plants grow in soil containing worms, then the plant growth will be greater because worms help decompose organic matter and distribute it through the soil in a form that plants can use.

Control-
Part 2: Materials and Procedure
Supplies- two trays, lima bean seeds, worms, location with sunlight, black marker, meter stick, graduated cylinder, water
Procedure
1. label trays for each group, control and experimental group
2. fill each tray with 6 to 7 cm of soil
3. add six lima bean seeds to each of the trays and label them 1-6
4. add 50 mL of water to each tray evenly
5. leave them in sunlight for a week
6. Measure each of the sprouts in each tray
7. Record data and average the heights for each group, control and experimental, as well as find the difference
8. add worms to the experimental group
9. after three weeks measure each of the plants, record the data, average the height, and record the difference
10. after five weeks measure each of the plants, record the data, average the height, and record the difference
