One of many structures in the male reproductive system is the prostate gland. The prostate gland's most necessary feature is that it aids in creating fluid that, together with sperm cells from the testicles and fluids from other glands, makes up semen. The prostate also has muscles which ensure that the semen is vigorously pushed into, and then expelled from the urethra during ejaculation. One hormone in the male reproductive system is LH, or luteinizing hormone. It is made by your pituitary gland (a small gland located beneath the brain). LH plays a very important role in the sexual development and functioning of males. LH also plays a key role in gonadal (testicles) function.
