PLEAAASEEE HELP!! Many different bacteria are rapidly evolving and becoming to treat effectuvely with antibiotics. Some bacteria have a gene that gives them the ability to survive antibiotic treatment. One example of MRSA Mathicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. Bacteria that have such a gene will survive treatment by the antibiotic Methicillin and multiply, while bacteria without gene will be killed by the antibiotic. Scientists have been studying the resistance of these types of bacteria over the past 20 years The results are shown below in Figure 1.

ANSWER CHOICES:
A. Methicillin will be less likely to be effective when used in patients with a bacterial infection.
B. Beginning in 1980 doctors began prescribing more antibiotics leading to fewer cases of MRSA.
C. Better treatment options were discovered in 1990 leading to fewer MRSA cases moving forward.
D. As MRSA continues to evolve it will become a virus making it more susceptible to antibiotics lowering the case for public concer.
