mRNA(messanger RNA)-results from transcription and contains the codons for protein synthesis .mRNA is synthesized by an enzyme called RNA-polymerase. It plays an important role in translation because it contains the codons that pair with anticodons from tRNA

t-RNA(transffer RNA)-carries the amino acids to the protein synthesis site(ribosome) and contains the anticodon that pairs with the codon from mRNA during translation

r-RNA(ribosomal RNA)- keeps the two ribosomal units together for the translation to take place
