The primary mechanism by which organisms generate new cells is through cell division. During this process, a single "parent" cell will divide on produce identical “daughter” cells. If there are no errors, the parent cell passes on it’s genetic material to each of its' daughter cells. This process is called Mitosis. During Mitosis, a cell segregates its duplicated DNA, and divides is equally into two new daughter cells. Examine the diagram given. The cell in the diagram is dividing. What is the mitotic phase that follows the one shown on the diagram, and what events will take place during that phase ?
