Why do sea breezes occur during the day?

Sea breeze is caused during the hot summer days due to the unequal heating of land and water . During the day time the land gets heated up at a faster rate as compared to the sea surface. Due to heated land,  air above it also get heated and thus its air pressure  reduces while the air above sea has higher pressure as it is cooler than the air above land. Due to this pressure difference the air moves from regions of high air pressure (sea) to regions of low air pressure (land) thereby producing sea breeze.
