Schuziopherania is a mental disorder that is a neural dysfunction of one of the projection pathways more specifically the Mesolimbic pathway which is helpful for the reward center as it transmits dopamine associated with pleasure and reward cognition.

In this disorder, the receptors present between the other parts of the brain and the region called limbic has an abnormal distribution. These receptors are known as D2 and in excess distribution lead to overstimulation which causes hallucinations and other overthinking and symptoms.
