Students studying the workings of the kidneys completed an investigation. The students prepared four model cells by using dialysis tubing containing the same solution of blue dye and water. Each of the model cells originally had a mass of 10 grams. The students then placed each model cell in a beaker containing different concentrations of dye in water.
