As seen on the diagram above, the tallest height is at W. It means that, the potential energy at this point is at its greatest because of a greater gravitational pull from the Earth. On the other hand, the potential energy is least at point X because it has the shortest height and is closer to the Earth.

he movement of air through earth's or any planet's atmosphere is called wind, and the main cause of earth's winds is uneven heating by the sun. this uneven heating causes changes of atmospheric pressure, and winds blow from regions with high pressure to those with low pressure.
