How far does an animal have to travel to obtain the abiotic factor water?

Three fourth of the total earth is covered with water, 97 percent of which is there in sea's as saline water, the other 2 percent is there in the form of glaciers and the left out 1 percent is there as ground water.

Water is presence is abundance but it depends upon the geographical location where the animal is looking for water. There will be scarcity of water in the deserts because there is less rainfall over there, so it depends on the geographical location.
