Why is jonathan preoccupied with the food of this foreign region? how does it differ from the food he is accustom to in england? how does this difference underscore the differences between the east and west?

Explanation:  

Jonathan in this book, Dracula by Stroker, is on a journey. Being away from his home country, he finds the food to be strange and not at all similar to what he was used to consuming back in England. He does not find multiple options for meat and observes lots more street food vendors than he saw during his time living in the west.
