Explanation:

Since the bacteria Serratia marcescens kept on growing even with higher dilution levels, it can safely be concluded that no, E. coli and S. marcescens would not become isolated on the same plate. The inoculum used should roughly contain 300 cells in order for it to not grow in clumps, rather make separate colonies.
