Mutations can be defined as changes in genetic material, which are the main source of existing genetic variation. For ensuring genetic variability, that is, ensuring that individuals have different DNA, mutations are considered an important point in the evolution of living beings.

It is through mutations that important adaptive characteristics emerge, in addition to essential characteristics remaining in species that are different but that have similarities.

These processes also guarantees the selection of species most adapted species.  Mutations can be beneficial, neutral or harmful (genetic diseases or genetic "failures") and, therefore, are not targeted, occurring at random.

emerging idea only occurs as a raw idea that could appear out of nowhere. meanwhile, to reach scientific consensus , that idea must be structured and tested over and over again through various experiments. the scientific consensus transforms the raw idea into idea that is more reliable through the process of scientific elimination.
