Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes are two important forms of living organisms. These two domains posses some similarities as well as dissimilarities. they differentiate on the structure of a chromosomes in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, that are as following:

In prokaryotes, the chromosome is circular and located in a region called the nucleoid present in the cytoplasm. In comparison, in eukaryotes all chromosomes of the cell are contained inside a structure called the nucleus.DNA is not attached with histone protein in prokaryotes while DNA is attached with histone proteins in Eukaryotes.In prokaryotes, there is only one origin of replication but in eukaryotes there are many origin of replication.
