Day-neutral plants reach maturity, and environmental conditions are right. What is the effect?

Day-neutral plants will begin to flower automatically once they reach maturity and when the environmental conditions are right due to the condition called photoperiodism.

Day-neutral plants are not depended upon periods of day (light) or night (darkness) for their growth and maturity unlike the long-day plants or the short-day plants.

Day-neutral plants like corn, tomato, and cucumber will begin to flower and fruit according to their developmental stage, irrespective of the amount of light or darkness received.  

Neutral-plants can be achieved by vernalization, hormones like auxin, gibberellins, etc .
