Inertia is the property of a body to resist any change in its state of rest or motion. For example, if a person is running fast and suddenly his leg hit with a stone, the person falls in farward direction on the ground. The lower part of the body stops due to stone but the upper part of the body continues its motion due to inertia.

for  example, forests have higher evapotranspiration than other ecosystems,  such  as grasslands, because of their deeper roots and greater leaf area. thus forests have a net moistening effect on the atmosphere and become a moisture source for downwind ecosystems.

if the type of the food available changes, then the frequency of beak types will change, because birds with beaks more suited to the available food will be more successful over time.
