Transcription ends at an RNA secondary structure called a terminator , which may or may not involve a protein called rho.

Translation the process of  making a protein from an RNA template with help of ribosomes. This process begins at the Shine-Dalgarno sequence ( in prokaryotes) and proceeds from the amino (N) terminus to the carboxy (C) terminus of the peptide. the process of  translation ends/ stops at one of the three stop codons (UGA, UAG, or UAA).
