Which of the following is an agonist pharmacological mechanism? (that is, meant to facilitate a neurotransmitter)?
1. Inhibiting the synthesis and production of neurotransmitter
2. Stimulating the post-synaptic receptors and ""pretending"" to be the neurotransmitter (Like a fake key in a lock)
3. Covering up post-synaptic receptors, so that the neurotrasmitter cannot bind to them and therefore cannot pass the message along.
4. Breaking the vesicles that contain the neurotransmitter in the pre-synaptic terminals; only neurotrasnmitter in the vescicles can actually be released. Therefore by breaking the vescicles the neurotrasnmitter has no way to be squeezed outside."
