Estimate the size of a digester required to treat the sludge from a primary treatment plant designed to treat 10 mgd (37,800 m3/day) of wastewater. check the volumetric loading, and estimate the percent stabilization and the amount of gas produced per capita per day. for the wastewater to be treated, it has been found that the quantity of dry solids removed is 1200 lb/mgal (~0.15 kg/m3) and bodl is 1150 lb/mgal (~0.14 kg/m3).
