Natural selection tends to support those species which are better adapted to live in an environment and those which are better adapted to change according to the changes in an environment.

Natural selection changes the allele frequencies of a population over time. It selects those alleles which are assigned for better traits according to the changing conditions. As a result, the population frequency changes over time and so does the genotype and phenotype.
