Gross primary productivity, or gpp, is the rate at which solar energy
is captured ih glucose molecules during photosynthesis. producers
such as plants use some of this energy for metabolism and some for
growth. energy is transferred between trophic levels when one
organism eats another. however energy transfers are never 100%
efficient. therefore, each trophic level has a successively smaller
energy pool from which it can withdraw energy. determine the
amount of energy for the spiders, a secondary organism in the food
chain if the gross primary production (gpp) starts at 2,500,000 j of
energy

45 points how are people today being protected from tsunamis? earthquake data is analyzed to detemrine if a tsunami is likely, and if so, warnings are sent out. areas in tsunami risk zones are no longer heavily populated. radar is used to measure wave heights regularly. meteorologists study the winds to determine if wave heights will be large.

In sweet pea, gene c is responsible for color production and gene p is responsible for the purple color pigment. both of them are located on two different loci on different chromosomes. the flowers will be purple only when the plant has the genotypes as c_p_. no color will be produced with genotypes: ccpp, ccpp, ccpp, ccpp. thus, gene c controls the expression of gene p. what pattern of inheritance is exhibited here? a. pleiotropy b. epistasis c. multiple alleles
