Eukaryotic cells, on the other hand contain specialized organelles such as nucleus which houses the genetic materials and act as the central control of the cell, chloroplast functions in photosynthesis, and mitochondrion which act as the power house of the cell.

Thus, the two major parts of the eukaryotic cell can be said to be the nucleus and the membrane bound organelles.
