Then I would write down what I know and what I don’t. And in this case, it tells us that the stick is a meter (and hey the unit we are using to measure the shadow is meters) stick. What we don’t know is how tall is the tree. From there set up your proportion as:
1m (how tall the stick is) X(tree height)

2m (the shadow of stick). 6(shadow tr)

From there cross multiply

2x=6
Divide by 2
