Why might it be advantageous to use nonrenewable resources over renewable resources?

It might be advantageous to use nonrenewable resources over renewable resources because nonrenewable sources are cheaper and more efficient than the renewable resources. The other advantage is that the nonrenewable resources have a much lower impact on the atmosphere than the renewable resources.  

It is evolution, because we all have some of the same traits like eye color or shape or ears.
