The use of agonists and antagonists in pharmacology has had mixed success in various central

collateral receptor interactions resulting in challenging side effects for patients.
newer strategies emerging in the clinic are so called “partial agonists” or “allosteric effect
modulators”.
using two (2) named examples, discuss the support for and evidence against the feasibility
of the medicinal use of drugs which are not full agonists or antagonists.
