The presence of chyme in the duodenum stimulates which hormones

             The presence of chyme in duodenum stimulate mucosa to secrete secretin and cholecystokinin into the blood.

1. Secretin:
             It was the first hormone to discovered, also known as fire man. It is secreted in response to acidification of duodenum when liquified ingesta from stomach enter into duodenum. The principle target of secretin is the pancrease , which respond by secreting bicarbonate rich fluid into duodenum. It also target gall bladder to release stored bile into duodenum. This fluid deminish the acidity of chyme and make them conducive for other enzymes to digest proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.

2. Cholecystokinin:
                                It was formerly known as pancreozymin, and secreted by endocrine cells of duodenum in response to the presence of amino acids and fatty acids in chyme. It stimulates the gallbladder to contract and release stored bile into the intestine. It also stimulates the secretion of pancreatic juice and may induce satiety.
