Search for a movie version of a musical (The Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Chicago, Les Misérables, and so on) and go see a live performance of it. The live performance may be professional or amateur, such as a high school production. Then, watch the musical’s adaptation on film. Write a critique of the movie in terms of its theatricality, the performances, and the script adjustments in the movie version for it to work cinematically. Compare and contrast the two.
