PLEASE help I'm really stressed, When some Europeans first saw African sculpture and masks, they thought it was inferior or childlike. Why might they have thought that? What information about Africa might have helped them understand and appreciate African art?

When Europeans first saw African sculptures and masks they may have perceived it as inferior due to its lack of symmetry and perspective. While European art is traditionally known for its depictions of landscapes and murals, these African art forms were something completely new and out of the ordinary. If they know about the rituals and cultural/spiritual significance of the masks and sculptures, this may have helped them understand why it means to much to them and why they made this.

Honestly i personally think 2014 forrest hills drive is his best yet.
