Waiting for Godot is the most famous work by Samuel Beckett and one of the most famous work is in the “Theatre of the absurd.” The play concerns two men Vladimir and Estragon who are waiting for someone named Godot to show up who never does. Because the play is so simple it has been interpreted in many different ways especially politically and religiously. Can you think of other works that have been interpreted in a different way?
