This week in our discussion board, we are going to focus on Interpretation. Watch this clip of one of the pas de deux in Petite Mort by Jiri Kylian, one of the most groundbreaking choreographers in contemporary ballet. He changed the shape and face of partnering in ballet. After viewing, be sure to write down some descriptive elements-facts, facts, facts. Then, research the company, the title of the work, the choreographer and anything else you think may lead you to an idea of what the work is about. Your initial response should focus on interpretation mainly. Be sure your initial post is clear, edited and approximately 1-2 paragraphs in length. In your response posts, be sure to directly relate to what another classmate said in their initial post. You will receive 60 points for a total initial post and 20 additional points for each response post to your classmates up to 2 responses.
