After reading the article "Four Ways Music Strengthens Social Bonds", answer the following questions. 1. In the introduction, the author states "...perhaps explaining why it [music] has survived in every culture in the world." What do they mean by "surviving"? Does that mean that a music that was formed by a culture had a chance of failing? What other word could you use to describe what the author was talking about? 2. In part 1, the author discusses that music fosters cooperation, coordination, and contact with others. Can you think of a kind of music we have discussed in our "Music In Society" unit that discussed music that did this to great effect?
