I remember when we were younger
It was ok to make a blunder

We didn't want our parents to know we had failed them 
We hid each scar and bruise on every limb
It's not our fault they left us crying in the dark
We trip and fall and never find our spark

Just climb with me
Up that old apple tree
And just feel the breeze
Caressing your scraped knees

You were never meant to fall
You just needed to listen to the call 
Pick up every part
Of your broken heart
