Traveling solo across Mexico, Panama and Colombia. I had managed to get a few weeks off from work but could not find anyone to travel with me, so I said screw it and just book the flights and go! I’ve traveled a good deal outside the U.S. and being in the Navy also took me to some amazing places but sill I was a bit nervous going solo into Mexico and Colombia not speaking Spanish except the very basics to get by. My first stop was to Guadalajara and what an amazing city the food there was so good, then over to Mexico City and I think I truly fell in love with CDMX and I honestly can not say why but I definitely can see myself living there. I did my best to do so much and still to this day each time I go back I find a whole part of CDMX to adventure into. So from MexCity I went down to Merida then drove to Chichen Itza it was only a few hours drive but want an amazing experience! after two days enjoying the pyramids I drove over to Cancun but only to fly out to Panama City to check out the rain forest and it was beautiful although it was the only part of the trip I wish I could have shared with someone special. from there over to Bogota, Colombia and was truly amazed how beautify this city in the mountains is. I know some may say otherwise but the city and the surrounding area simply wonderful. Anyway I guess the best thing to happened to me was to go solo and travel and enjoy the world. I find it so hard now to even think about traveling with a group. going solo made me face all the uncertainties. it made me more sociable as I had to talk to the locals for help or directions. It made me see how wonderful life is outside the U.S. It mad me happy. It was the best thing to ever happened to me.
