1.) What’s a reliquary?: a container for relics that are believed to have belonged to a saint or martyr. Examples include -> clothing, hair, personal belongings, put in reliquaries.

2.) Importances of it: said to hold to Catholics the power of healing as well as promote the holy connection of the soul to God and to be blessed by the saints.

3.) Art -> spread beliefs: art was used well in the realm of propaganda and story telling by religions to put faces to biblical figures and to elicit emotions from the intensity of the art. It was also wanted by churches and speakers to display religious symbolism as well as to depict well known biblical tales.
