Now it’s time to think about flavors. If you are craving vanilla ice cream, add a half-teaspoon of vanilla extract. For chocolate ice cream, add two tablespoons of cocoa powder. And if you’re feeling crazy, add a quarter cup of butterscotch chips.
Then, seal the quart-size bag, and put your ice and salt into the gallon-sized bag. Place the quart bag inside the gallon bag. Make sure both are sealed completely.
Next, shake the bags for ten minutes. Not just a little shake—a vigorous shake. If your hands get too cold, try wearing mittens or oven mitts! Remove the smaller bag from the gallon bag. It will magically be full of ice cream; just open the bag and serve.
At which point would it be MOST effective for Darnell to use a gesture?
A.
“Now it’s time to think about flavors.”
B.
“…put your ice and salt into the gallon-sized bag.”
C.
“Not just a little shake—a vigorous shake.”
D.
“Remove the smaller bag from the gallon bag.”
