This can be anything you want, but I'd say supporting your children no matter what.

Prepare for the newborn by reading books on raising children, purchasing baby products, and maybe enrolling in a parenting course. Mentally prepare  yourself for the new child as well, so that you are comfortable with typical parenting issues so that you can more easily deal with potential challenges/conflicts with your child. Prepare financially by ensuring that you have a decent career with a good steady salary that will enable you to pay for nutritious food and a roof over your and your child's heads. Investigate alternative parenting approaches and why it's important to listen to your child and reach them halfway so that you can all be comfortable and happy. Finally, look at the education options near you. Research schools and look at their letter grade. Be sure your community has decent schools so your child can obtain a good education, and read up on certain primary school subjects so you can assist your child in studying.
