I feel like it’s circumstantial. You may see someone as good or bad depending on the scenario and how they react to it.
In my eyes a good friend, or rather a good person, is someone (despite the circumstances) is willing to help guide you through things in a very platonic manner because they know you would do the same for them. It’s a mutual relationship. There’s a trust there that you both have build up over time. A bad friend would be someone who wishes to assist you only for their own gain, not to check on your welfare whatsoever

The statement is correct because if there is a bunch of noise around you and you are focusing on the noise you will not comprehend your questions and lessons nor will you be able to get the proportion information you need and you will likely spend many more hours on work than normal than if you could ignore the sound
