My favorite paradox is what some would call the line paradox.

This paradox is confusing: because it’s theoretically impossible, but mathematically possible.

Okay, for example: take this line

Now, cut it in half. Then again. Then again and again. Keep doing that, forever. You see, theoretically, you can never reach the end, because you can always cut something in half, no matter how small. But mathematically, it is possible, because there is an end of the line.Try it a different way; take the number 5. Now cut it in half:

2.5,1.25,.625,.3125,.15625, etc.

You can never reach the end when you think about it, but the work shows when you do the math, you can actually reach the end, basically because there is an end of the line,/number 0.

Confusing, I know. That’s why it’s my favorite.
