Identify the problem: the phone i had broke. The battery was basically melted. The problem was that I could not effectively call my teacher, including get notifications for homework, work, and using a calculater.
Gather information: i found out that my phone wasnt up to date anywaythere was 3 models after mine. it would cost me 350 to get a newer phone.
Analyze the situation: The situation was that I had no way to contact my teacher. i could jus use mycomputer to email her. that would only make our communication process slower than what it was on the broken phone.
Develop options: My options consisted of the following:
Buy a new battery for $100 then get it fixed for $200.
Buy a nicer phone for $350.
use my emailing app on my computer to contact my teacher
6. Select a preferred alternative: I do not have transportation that would allow me to get to the phone shop. Also, the email process will get my work in late. I spoke to my teacher, and she explained it is mandatory for me to have my phone for text messages. So, I am left with buying a basic laptop or buying a nicer phone. Buying a new battery would be a quick fix, and it would be like new. However, I want this phone to last at least a few years. So, I decide to spend the $350 on a nicer phone.

7. Act on the decision: I don’t have $350 at the moment, so I’ll need to make arrangements with my teachers to let her know ill have to email her for a couple weeks. I will go to work a few extra days so when i buy my phone i can have a little extra money. After like 2 weeks, I should have enough money to buy the phone.
