Why have beverage manufacturers already made such changes to their labels even though the changes will not be required for a couple of years?

There are two big reasons for this:

1. Beverage companies are struggling to provide a better public image of their company. As people move towards more healthy eating habits, Beverage companies have been seen as the 'Evil' of the society.

Adhering to FDA guidelines as soon as possible, shows that these companies are ethical and care about their customers.

2. The second reason is the financial aspect of the change. Changing labels can cost millions of dollars in packaging costs and the later they do it, the more expensive it would become.

The companies want to take this chance to renew their labeling, and launch a marketing campaign along with it. All in all, trying to reduce costs
